Holes is a book about a boy named Stanley Yelnats and how a pair of baseball shoes change his life.
Stanley is a normal and very nice boy. One day while he was walking home from school a pair of shoes had fallen out of the sky and hit him on the head. Stanley took the shoes and while he was walking home from school the police had caught him, the shoes had been a famouse baseball players shoes and they had had been stolen, this cost Stanley 12 months in camp greenlake.
greenlake is not like any other ordinary camp in this camp you had to get up every morning at 4 and start digging a hole as wide and as deep as your shovel. Camp green lake has no water any where but the camp and the water is given by the warden " mr sir".the only way of surviving on camp greenlake is doing the right thing if you try run a way there is no water for mile and miles away.At camp green lake Stanley meets some kids who introduce them to the camp and become friends with them. These friends have some very unusual nicknames like armpit, squid, Brad Barfbag and the leader of the group X-ray, after sometime Stanley's new nick name is caveman.
